The Caloundra South priority development area (about 20,000 planned dwellings) and the Halls Creek priority development area declared in July 2026 (up to 12,000 homes) sit just south of Caloundra.
Coastal homes need corrosion considered; hinterland homes often mean steep blocks, where raised steel floor systems can reduce earthworks.
